How to build a basic skin care routine

With our busy schedules, we can sometimes neglect ourselves.

STEP 1: GET CLEAN
Dirt, sweat, perfume, lotion, sunscreen, all need to be cleaned off of the skin.
Look for a gentle body wash that won’t irritate or dry out your skin.

STEP 2: SLOUGH AWAY ROUGH SKIN
Two or three times a week, exfoliate your body by adding a scrub into your shower routine and gently massaging the scrub onto your skin. Be sure to focus on your elbows, knees, and heels, which are more likely to have rough patches that need extra exfoliation.

STEP 3: HYDRATE FROM HEAD TO TOE
While your skin is still wet from your shower activities, it’s an ideal time to hydrate your skin. Smooth a hydrating cream or lotion over your body from your neck to your toes (hello, soft feet!), letting it absorb before putting your clothes on.

Sunscreen: Never leave the house without protection! Wearing sunscreen not only protects your skin for harmful UV rays but also prevents sunspots, wrinkles, and other forms of premature aging.

Beauty begins on the inside. What we put into your bodies is as important as the products we use on our skin. Eating a skin healthy diet, and drinking plenty of water can make a huge difference in the health of our skin.
